Sunday Working Bee

The Sunday Working bee in May is on Mothers Day! So take this opportunity to volunteer with family or friends. This bee is working at the Grovetown School. We are going to tidy up some native plantings there by doing some weeding and controlling old man's beard. There will also be some potting up in the shade house for those that are interested in propagation.
Come on down and bring Mum, or just come with the kids and let Mum have a quiet morning, coffee and a lie in, or maybe she can have all three!

Sunday working bee at Grovetown School, meet at the back school carpark by the shadehouse.
Sunday 8th of May 9.30am
Everyone Welcome

Waterfowl Hunting Season

The 7th and 8th of May is opening weekend for Duck Hunting which runs from the 7th of May to the 31st of July. Grovetown Lagoon is a public space and open to all. Opening weekend is the busiest time for gamebird hunting and hunting happens through the daylight hours of the weekend.

Hunters please be aware that at the last count 150 people walk or bike at the Lagoon on each weekend day and that families use and live around the Lagoon.

Recreational users please be aware that there may be hunters at the Lagoon. Generally hunting is from dawn to 9am, 4.30pm until dark although may continue throughout the day when there is inclement weather.
