New Management Plan - Have Your Say

Submissions Close 24 September 2021

Te Whanau Hou Grovetown Lagoon and the Council would like direction from the community as to how the Lagoon should be managed.

Grovetown Lagoon is an oxbow, or horseshoe, lake four kilometres northeast of Blenheim. The Lagoon is a popular area and is used for walking, biking, picnicking, kayaking, bird watching, food gathering and game bird hunting.

It is envisioned that the new management plan will enable a mix of uses and values to be supported as well as putting in place policy to guide the day-to-day management.

You can influence how Grovetown Lagoon is managed and developed by providing some suggestions or feedback. We are keen to hear your views please email them to
tewhanauhourmp@marlborough.govt.nz

Once all the submission are received a new management plan will be drafted. The draft management plan will be publicly notified for feedback.
