Clare Duston and Shelly Sidley from DOC along with Grovetown Lagoon co-ordinator Jenny Keene recently visited areas around the Lagoon to begin planning for a schools education and activity kit based around Grovetown Lagoon.
The activity kit will be designed to be used by schools doing the 'Living Landscapes' topic with their students, and focus on the wetland environment. Similar kits already exist for Mill Flat at Pine Valley, and Onamalutu Reserve.
Having an education and activity kit for Grovetown Lagoon will add diversity to the resources available, and help raise the profile of Grovetown Lagoon. We want more people to come and visit this.
